Working as a member of the global Networking & Telecom teams, this individual is responsible in part for the delivery and sustaining support of the enterprise data network and IP Telephony solutions. This individual will demonstrate good partnering and cross-functional teaming skills with peers and will apply their knowledge to contribute how the company will move from its current technology and/or architecture to one that meets the future needs of the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research, design, plan, and implement new technologies into current operating environment. Test and evaluate future looking technologies by participating in beta tests of given technologies.
- Assist in the design, implementation and sustaining support of IP Routing, Switching and IP Telephony Technologies.
- Creates standards and policies that impact cross-functional initiatives and multiple organizations.
- Shares information and knowledge to assist others. Plays a strategic and operational role (40% strategy - 60% operations.
- Provides technical consultation and leadership in the design and development complex technology rollouts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 3- 5 years of direct work experience troubleshooting IP Routing and Switching. Experience with QoS a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent is preferred.
- Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE) is preferred.
- Experience with voice, video, and web collaboration technologies (such as Cisco Meetingplace, Microsoft Live Meeting, etc) a plus.
- Good strategic planning, project management, organizational and time management skills to handle multiple complex enterprise-scale complex projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communications and presentation skills and candidates must have the ability to communicate with internal/external customers, vendors, management etc. in both formal and informal situations.
