seeking a senior test engineer to perform quality assurance on a global SaaS scholarly peer-review system. This position will be responsible for system analysis and testing objectives, scenario and test data development, test bed setup and maintenance, test execution, results analysis, reporting and system debugging.
This position will document testing procedures and maintain all aspects of testing. This position will work closely with Application Developers, Database Administrators and IT team members. Additional responsibilities include defect reporting, verification and metrics collection/analysis.
The Primary responsibilities will be test automation, performance testing, and requirements and design reviews. Other responsibilities may include test case development and manual testing.
Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science, Eelectrical Engineering or equivalent required.
10+ years experience in software testing and development.
5+ years experience testing hosted SaaS systems.
5+ years experience with automation and performance testing.
Required Tools: Web Performance Suite or Load Runner and QuickTest Professional, SilkTest or Robot
Proficient with C, Java, Visual Basic, or scripting languages required.
Proficient with SQL, Linux SSH command line interface and application server access required.
Experience with test case and scenario development required.
Ability to setup/build and maintain testing environment required.
Experience with quality assurance methodologies, standards, requirements, design and Use Case analysis.
Experience with web servers, application servers, relational database technologies and network components.
Develop and implement quality assurance standards, procedures and identify improvements.
Experience identifying, analyzing and documenting defects.
Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment under general supervision with initiative, creativity and innovation encouraged.
Strong communication, interpersonal, multitasking, time management, project management and documentation skills.

Experience with Win SCP, Putty, DB2 Controller, VMware, Subversion.
SOAP/Web Services, DTD and XML.
Experience with Apache, JBoss, and IBM DB2.
